Mount St. Joseph University Description:

Founded in 1920 by the Sisters of Charity, Mount St. Joseph University (formerly the College of Mount St. Joseph) is a private, Catholic university located near Cincinnati, Ohio. The university, often called simply "the Mount," offers over 40 undergraduate degree programs and emphasizes hands-on, experiential, interdisciplinary learning. Small classes and a healthy 11 to 1 student / faculty ratio allow students to work closely with their professors. Professional fields such as business, nursing, and sports management are among the most popular at the Mount, but the curriculum remains grounded in the liberal arts and sciences. Mount St. Joseph students stay active outside of the classroom through participation in a wide range of clubs and organizations including Student Photographic Society, Music Matters, Mount Birding Club, and English Club. The university is also home to a dozen academic honor societies. On the athletic front, students can take part in intramural sports such as dodgeball, volleyball, and cornhole.
