Wayne State College Description:

Wayne State College is a public, four-year college located in Wayne, Nebraska. Sioux City, Iowa, is less than an hour away, and Omaha, Nebraska is less than a two-hour drive.The college offers more than 80 majors and minors across 14 academic departments from the schools of Business and Technology, Education and Counseling, Natural and Social Sciences, and Arts and Humanities. Wayne State is very proud of its technology, and boasts several smart, or technology enhanced, classrooms. WSC has about 3,500 students who are supported by a student/faculty ratio of 18 to 1 and an average class size of 21. Campus life is active with over 100 student clubs and organizations including Paint Ball Club, Archery Club, and Science Fiction and Fantasy Club. WSC also has fraternity and sorority system and interesting intramurals such as Horseshoes, Chess, and Pickleball. When it comes to intercollegiate athletics, the WSC Wildcats compete in the NCAA Division II Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) with sports including men’s and women’s basketball, golf, and track. The college fields five men's and six women's intercollegiate sports.
