Doane College - Crete Description:

Founded in 1871, Doane College was the first liberal arts and sciences college in Nebraska. Chartered by the General Association of Congregational Churches, Doane College is located in Crete, Nebraska, with additional campuses in Lincoln, Omaha, and Grand Island. The college offers a range of majors, with education, business, and biology related degrees among the most popular. Doane has an active Greek community, with a number of fraternities and sororities to choose from. In addition, there are many other activities students can participate in--including academic clubs, performing arts groups, and social/recreation groups. On the athletic front, the Doane College Tigers compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) within the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
