Started by leaders of the Free Methodist Church, the university has retained its Christian tradition, and offers students a range of academic and extracurricular opportunities related to the Methodist faith. Academics are supported by a healthy 12 / 1 student to faculty ratio. SAU offers over 70 undergraduate majors, and 12 graduate degrees--some of the most popular choices include Nursing, Social Work, Family Systems, and Business Administration.
