Discussion of Simpson College's Admissions Standards:

Applicants to Simpson College tend to be fairly strong, and most admitted students have grades and standardized test scores that are at least a little above average. As the graph above shows, most accepted students (blue and green dots) had SAT scores of 1100 or higher, an ACT composite of 21 or higher, and a high school average of a "B" or better. Grades and test scores above these lower ranges will improve your chances, and the majority of admitted students had grades up in the "A" range.

You'll also see that some students were admitted with grades and test scores a little below the norm. This is because Simpson College admissions are not all about numerical data. The college has holistic admissions, and decisions also take into consideration the rigor of your high school courses (AP, IB and Honors courses all help), as well as your application essay, extracurricular activities, awards, service, community involvement, and a counselor recommendation.
