In the graph above, the green and blue dots represented students who were accepted. Most had high school averages of a "B" or higher, SAT scores (RW+M) of 1000 or higher, and an ACT composite score of 20 or better. Realize, however, that standardized test scores don't need to play a significant role in the admissions process at Sacred Heart—the university has a test-optional admissions policy.

In the middle of the graph, you'll notice that there are quite a few yellow dots (waitlisted students) and red dots (rejected students) interspersed with the green and the blue. This means that some students who were potentially on target to get into Sacred Heart were not admitted. This is because the university has holistic admissions and makes decisions based on more than numbers. Sacred Heart University uses the Common Application, and the admissions folks will be looking for a strong application essay, meaningful extracurricular activities, and positive letters of recommendation. Also, Sacred Heart University takes into consideration the rigor of your high school courses, not just your grades.
