Discussion of Northwestern College's Admissions Standards:

About a quarter of applicants to Northwestern College will not be admitted. The admissions bar, however, is not overly high, and most hard-working applicants have a good chance of being admitted. In the graph above, the blue and green dots represent students who won admission. Most had SAT scores of 1000 or higher, an ACT composite of 20 or higher, and a high school average of a "B" or better. Grades and test scores a little above these lower ranges will improve your chances, and you can see that many admitted students had grades up in the "A" range.

According to the Northwestern website, admission is based largely on high school grades, class rank, and standardized test scores. That said, the application does ask about honors and extracurricular activities, and the college offers scholarships for participation in music, theater, and intercollegiate sports.
