Admissions Chances

If your SAT/ACT scores and GPA fall within the school's required minimums, you have a strong chance of being accepted. While Georgia Southern does not require a personal statement or essay, the university wants to see that you have completed a rigorous college preparatory curriculum in high school. At a minimum, you should have an average GPA of 2.5 or above in required coursework including: four years of English, math, and science; three years of social science; and two years of a single foreign language.

In the graph above, the blue and green dots represent accepted students. Most had SAT scores of 1000 or higher, ACT composite scores of 20 or higher, and high school averages ranging from A to C+. Keep in mind, however, that a significant number of successful applicants have average GPAs in the "A" range.
