Discussion of Bethel University's Admissions Standards: Most students who apply to Bethel University in Minnesota are admitted, but at the same time, most applicants have solid standardized test scores and high school grades. In the graph above, the blue and green dots represent students who got in. Most had SAT scores (RW+M) of 1000 or higher, an ACT composite of 20 or higher, and a high school average of a "B" or better. A significant percentage of admitted students had grades up in the "A" range. You can see that some students get into Bethel with grades and test scores that are below these lower ranges. This is because Bethel has holistic admissions and makes an effort to evaluate the whole applicant, not just the applicant's numerical measures. The Bethel application asks about your extracurricular activities, and all applicants must provide an academic reference and a spiritual reference. In addition, Bethel University takes its Christian identity seriously, and all applicants must provide a "Personal Faith Statement."
