Wilmington University Description:

Wilmington University’s main campus is in New Castle, Delaware, about 30 miles southeast of Philadelphia. The university also has locations in Maryland and New Jersey, as well as other Delaware locations in Middletown, Dover, Dover Air Force Base, Georgetown, Rehoboth Beach, North Wilmington, and the Wilson Graduate Center. Wilmington University is primarily a commuter campus and does not offer student housing (but the school does help students find nearby rental housing). The university has a range of day, evening, and weekend classes designed to serve both traditional students and working adults. Wilmington University also offers many online degree programs, and hybrid courses that involve a mix of classroom and online learning. Among the school's 26 bachelor's degree programs, professional fields such as business, criminal justice, computer security and nursing are most popular. Academics are supported by a 14 to 1 student / faculty ratio. Students looking to engage outside of the classroom can choose from a range of clubs and organizations including Game Club, Digital Film Making Club, Student United Way and Running Club. On the athletic front, the Wilmington University Wildcats compete in the NCAA Division II Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). The school fields 11 intercollegiate sports including basketball, cheerleading, women's lacrosse, and softball.
