University of the Ozarks Description:

The U of O was founded in 1834 as the Cane Hill School (so named because of its location in Cane Hill, Arkansas). This school evolved into College of the Ozarks (now in Clarksville); in the 1980s, the school became the University of the Ozarks. The school is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, and students can join a number of religious-based clubs on campus. U of O offers a range of majors--from sciences to education to fine arts. On the athletic front, the University of the Ozarks Eagles compete in the NCAA Division III, in the American Southwest Conference. Popular sports include basketball, soccer, and tennis.
