By February 4, 2014

Follow me on:

Today we take a look at my top pick colleges and universities from the South Central region of the United States: Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas. The region has a wealth of public and private colleges and universities, and my top picks range from small liberal arts colleges to giant public universities. The list includes religious and secular schools in rural and urban locations. The list contains some familiar names such as Rice and Texas A&M, but some of the selections may be less familiar to readers. To see who made the cut, check out the list of the top 30 South Central colleges.

If there is a school that you think should have made the list, share your recommendation below. I made my selections based on factors such as retention rates, graduation rates, student engagement, and academic strengths. Nevertheless, college rankings are always a subjective process, and I welcome your input.
