The University of California Irvine isn't as competitive as UCLA, UC Berkeley, or UCSD, but it is nevertheless a selective and highly regarded university. UCI received a total of 60,619 applications for the class of 2017, up from the 54,465 it received last year for the class of 2016.

To learn more about this impressive university and to see some of the sights, check out this new photo tour of UC Irvine.
