Yesterday I featured the 10 most popular colleges and universities on About.com College Admissions in 2012. Not surprisingly, the list was dominated by highly selective universities.

In order of popularity, the 10 most viewed liberal arts colleges on About.com in 2012 were:
- Amherst College (Amherst, Massachusetts)
- Pomona College (Claremont, California)
- Williams College (Williamstown, Massachusetts)
- Middlebury College (Middlebury, Vermont)
- Wesleyan University (Middletown, Connecticut)
- Swarthmore College (Swarthmore, Pennsylvania)
- Claremont McKenna (Claremont, California)
- Carleton College (Northfield, Minnesota)
- Barnard College (New York, New York)
- Bowdoin College (Brunswick, Maine)
The list has a few changes since 2011, the most significant being that Wellesley and Haverford were bumped out of the top ten by Barnard and Wesleyan. The top three positions remained unchanged (see the 2011 list).
