Massachusetts is home to our country's oldest and most prestigious college, so it should come as no surprise that Harvard University is on the list of top Massachusetts colleges. The state is also home to what is arguably the best engineering school in the country, and of course MIT made the cut. You'll also find on the list Amherst and Williams, the two colleges that tend to top lists of the country's best liberal arts colleges.
