Georgetown Admit Rate Drops to Record Low 16.5% for Class of 2016

Georgetown University received about 20,100 applications this year, and the prestigious Catholic university extended 3,316 offers of admissions. That brings the admit rate for the Class of 2016 down to an all-time low of 16.5%. Last year at this time in the admissions cycle, Georgetown had admitted 17.98% of applicants.

Note that the numbers for the Class of 2016 are likely to change a bit as the waitlist comes into play later in the spring. You can read more about Georgetown's applicant pool in the university's newspaper, The Hoya.
