Top Florida Colleges and Universities

Florida is well known for some of its huge yet excellent public universities such as the University of Florida and Florida International University. Many of Florida's large research universities offer strong academic programs at a relatively low price. Prospective students may be less familiar with some of Florida's smaller private institutions. My list of the top 12 Florida colleges and universities includes private and public institutions that range in size from over 50,000 students to under 1,000. I've selected the schools based on variety of factors: academic reputation, curricular innovations, first-year retention rates, four- and six-year graduation rates, selectivity and student engagement.
