If you were hoping to take the ACT on September 10th but never got around to registering, you have one last option -- standby. You'll need to show up at a testing center before 8:00 a.m., and seats are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no guarantee of a seat. Standby testing costs $42 in addition to the regular exam fee. If you think standby is a good option for you, visit the ACT website, create an account if you haven't already, fill out the standby form, and then show up at a testing center first thing on Saturday. Good luck!
