Tens of thousands of students took the ACT on April 10th, and along with the exam comes a lot of anxiety. Most colleges, after all, place significant weight on ACT or SAT scores when making their admissions decisions. There are, however, over 800 colleges that are test-optional. In other words, these schools don't require test scores for some or all of their applicants. The list of test-optional colleges includes many quality schools such as Wake Forest, Bates, Pitzer and Denison.
