SAT or ACT? Which is the Better Test?

Nearly all colleges accept the SAT or the ACT, but which is the better test? The answer, of course, depends on the test taker. Both take a similar amount of time, both include an essay (although it's optional in the ACT), and both emphasize critical reading and math skills. The ACT has a science section not found on the SAT, and the structure, pacing, and question types are different for both exams. To learn more, read this article that compares the SAT and ACT.

Are you familiar with both exams? If so, which do you think is superior? You can share your thoughts on this SAT and ACT discussion page.

And if you'd like more information about both tests including an assessment to help you predict which test is better for you, check out The Princeton Review's book ACT or SAT? Choosing the Right Exam for You.
