This evening the University of Texas and Ohio State University will face off in the Fiesta Bowl. Both are massive public universities of around 50,000 students. Admission to these well known universities isn't easy. Check out the stats below and click on the profiles to learn what it takes to get accepted.

Texas:

  • Percentage of applicants accepted: 50.7%
  • Middle 50% SAT Math: 560 / 690
  • Middle 50% SAT Reading: 530 / 660
  • Middle 50% ACT Composite: 21 / 28
  • Total Cost (In-State): $20,286
  • Total Cost (Out-of-State): $37,160
Ohio State:
  • Percentage of applicants accepted: 59%
  • Middle 50% SAT Math: 580 / 680
  • Middle 50% SAT Reading: 550 / 650
  • Middle 50% ACT Composite: 25 / 29
  • Total Cost (In-State): $22,275
  • Total Cost (Out-of-State): $34,884
Both universities are rather expensive (especially for out-of-state applicants) when compared to the majority of public universities. Out-of-state applicants can also expect admissions to be more competitive than for in-state students.
