Rejected and Lovin' It? Share Your Thoughts.

Tuesday March 11, 2008
March can be a tough time for college-bound seniors. 2008 is particularly rough -- application numbers are at a high, so rejection letters are also at a high. Many elite schools are rejecting around 90% of their applicants, and even a lot of the good public universities are turning away 75% of prospective students. A college that would have been a match or safety school a few years ago is now a reach.

While no one wants rejection letters, it’s important to put them in perspective. If you were rejected by the likes of Williams or Stanford, keep in mind that there’s a quality college out there that would love you to attend. Today I thought it would be nice to hear from those of you who have been through this difficult time. Please share your experiences by voting in the poll to the left, and by discussing your experience in the College Admissions Forum.
